John Pendergrass

Mr. Hubert John Pendergrass, age 63, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Pendergrass was born March 31, 1954 in Wilkes County to Hubert John and Virginia Mathis Pendergrass.

Mr. Pendergrass was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lucille Richardson and Janice Turner.

Survivors include: his wife, Vickie Swaim Pendergrass of the home; daughter, Jaclyn Virginia Pendergrass of Elkin; sisters, Judy Rhanor and husband Jim of Pilot Mountain, Cathy Johnson of Statesville and Carolyn Godfrey of Statesville; grandson, Gabriel Ashyr Pendergrass of Elkin; extended family, Michael Whitaker of Elkin.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Dodds and Rev. Joe Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
