Brenda Wilson Bowers

Mrs. Brenda Wilson Bowers, age 67, entered into that house not made with hands but eternal in the Heavens on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

She was born November 23, 1949 in Grayson County, Virginia to Reece and Twila Lilly Wilson. Mrs. Bowers was retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Andrew "Sam" Bowers and brothers, Gary Wilson and Zina Wilson.

Survivors include: sons, Mark A. Bowers of Thurmond and Matthew Bowers of Marion; sister, Linda Osborne and her husband Johnny of Ennice; grandchildren, Nathaniel Scotty Bowers of Thurmond, Brittany Bowers of Tennessee and Brandi Bowers of Tennessee; and beloved poodle, Mandy.

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Bowers Family Cemetery with Rev. Boyce Cleary officiating. Mrs. Bowers will lie-in-state at Elkin Funeral Service Sunday afternoon from 2:00-3:00 p.m. The family will have a time of fellowship following the graveside service at Traphill Masonic Lodge.

The family requests that memorials be made to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
