Linvel Holsclaw

Mr. Linvel Linberg Holsclaw, age 71, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Holsclaw was born November 27, 1945 in Wilkes County to Lenny and Maggie Nelson Holsclaw.

Mr. Holsclaw was a member of Central Full Gospel. He was a loving husband, father and papa and was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Arvil Holsclaw, James Holsclaw and Burt Holsclaw.

Survivors include: his wife of 51 years, Brenda C. Holsclaw of the the home; daughters, Sherry Sabo and husband Alexander of Plainfield, IL and Lisa Holsclaw (Darlo Dawson) of Germanton; brothers, William Holsclaw, Otis Holsclaw, Lawrence Holsclaw and his wife Hilda, Robert Holsclaw and his wife Hilda, Larry Turner and wife Darina and Curtis Austin; sisters, Rachel Dodson, Martha Waller and husband Larry and Diane McHone; grandchildren, Matthew Dawson, Nathan Sabo and Samuel Sabo and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Full Gospel Church with Rev. Bobby Norman and Rev. Alex Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
