Mrs. Susie Lowe Spicer, age 77, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Elkin Assisted Living. Mrs. Spicer was born April 9, 1939 in Surry County to Brady A. and Ila Beulah Billings Lowe.
Mrs. Spicer was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church and was retired from Chatham Manufacturing.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Danny Spicer; brother, Robert “Pete” Jesse Lowe and sister, Ruth Spicer.
Survivors include: her sons, Dennis Spicer and wife Doris of Hamptonville, Darrion Spicer and wife Tammy of Thurmond and Chris Spicer and wife Sheri of New Bern; daughters, Brenda Carter and husband Rickey of Jonesville, Bonnie Spicer of Hays and Debra Sides of Bristol, VA; brothers, James Lowe of Yadkinville and David Lowe of Dobson; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service with Rev. Curtis Ponder officiating. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
The family would like to thank the Hospice staff for their care.
