Mrs. Sharon Diane Combs, age 65, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at her residence.  Mrs. Combs was born January 26, 1951 in Wilkes County to James Garfield and Elender Church Owens.

Mrs. Combs was a retired USDA Inspector with Wilkes County and was a member of Ronda Church of God.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Steven Owens and a grandson, Brandon Dewayne Bates.

Survivors include:  her husband, Michael Combs of the home, two daughters, Michelle Bates and Tessa Prevette and husband Joseph all of Ronda, a brother Keith Owens of Mulberry, four sisters, Carolyn Smithey of Wilkesboro, Teresa Wyatt of Mulberry, Susan Davis and husband Bill of N. Wilkesboro, Penny Owens of Mulberry, five grandchildren, Amber Whitt and husband Matthew, Hope Bauguess and husband Brent, Jason Esparza, Cristina Smith and husband Josh, Brandon Esparza, six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 2pm at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jody Bewley officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service.
