Billy Joe Hawkins

Mr. Billy Joe Hawkins, age 83, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Hawkins was born December 25, 1932 in Wilkes County to Jim and Joyce Combs Hawkins.

Mr. Hawkins was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Jennings.

Survivors include: his wife, Patricia Hawkins of the home; son, Bobby Joe Hawkins of Moravian Falls; daughters, Sandra Melton and husband Jeremy of Yadkinville and Betty Jo Hutchens and husband Jonathan of Yadkinville; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Bill Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
