Joan Cunnington Haynes

Mrs. Joan Cunnington Haynes, age 83, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at Chatham Nursing Center & Rehab. Mrs. Haynes was born March 12, 1933 in Connersville, IN to William and Gladys Wilhelm Cunnington.
Mrs. Haynes was a retired nurse from the first aid department at Chatham Manufacturing and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Women’s Circle.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Kenneth Haynes; two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: her son, Kenneth Brian Haynes and wife Cheryl of State Road; daughter, Lois Swaim and husband Barry of Jonesville; granddaughter, Jennifer Swaim and fiancée Ryan Milin; step-granddaughter, Stephanie Phillips and husband Jamie; great-grandson, Bryson Phillips; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Finley McCoury officiating. Mrs. Haynes will lie-in-state from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Burial will conclude at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
