Judith Wolfe

Dr. Judith Wright Wolfe, age 73, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Dr. Wolfe was born January 11, 1943 in Surry County to James Roger, Sr. and Lorene Wright Wolfe.
Dr. Wolfe was a member of Jonesville United Methodist Church. She served in the USO/Special services from 1968-1969 in Vietnam where she received the purple heart medal. Dr. Wolfe taught school for several school systems throughout the state and she finished her career as the Principle at Smokey Mountain High School in Sylvia, NC. She served as Jonesville Town Commissioner and the Jonesville Historical Society. Dr. Wolfe was a published Author and the NC Historian of the year in 2015 and very instrumental in getting the Mineral Springs Park established.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Steve Mastin.
Survivors include: her sister, Anne Wolfe Mastin of Roaring River; brother, Jim Wolfe of Elkin; several nieces and nephews and her fur babies, Tinker, Belle, Patches and Daisy.
A memorial services will be held Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Jonesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Judy Davis, Rev. Tim Wolfe and Reverend Deacon Susan Whittington.
