Kathy Sue Warren Hayes
November 10, 1944 — August 30, 2016
Mrs. Kathy Sue Warren Hayes, age 71, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Hayes was born November 10, 1944 in Wilkes County to Sam William and Mary Doris Sidden Warren.
Mrs. Hayes was a member of Union Baptist Church where she was the youth leader and Christmas play director. She was a member of the choir and taught Sunday school for many years. Mrs. Hayes worked for SunBeam, Yadkin County and Mocksville city Probation office and was the Manager for Job Replacement. Mrs. Hayes was a avid Carolina Tarheel Basketball fan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Lorene Warren.
Survivors include: her husband, Alton Hayes of the home; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Hayes of N. Wilkesboro; step-father, John Lester Adams of Elkin; sisters, Carolyn Simmons and husband Rev. Jerry Simmons of Thurmond and Mary Lean Day of Thurmond; granddaughter, Meaghan Wingler and husband Jaryd of Wilkesboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jerry Simmons and Rev. Steve Stoltzfus officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Service Schedule
