Annie Davis Holbrook

Mrs. Annie Davis Holbrook, age 94, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016 at Pruitt Healthcare. Mrs. Holbrook was born April 5, 1922 in Surry County to Claude and Viola Burcham Holbrook.
Mrs. Holbrook was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lauren Holbrook; son, Bill Holbrook; sister, Clara Ransome and brother, John Davis.
Survivors include: her daughter, Doris Freeman and husband Calvin of Elkin; sister, Ruth Holbrook of Elkin; daughter-in-law, Madlene Holbrook of Lewisville; grandchildren, Angie Shore and husband Kenny of Clemmons, Greg Holbrook of Lewisville and Andy Freeman and wife Maria of Rockwell; great-grandchildren, Amanda Shores of Charlotte, Matthew Shores of Clemmons, Mack Freeman of Rockwell and Alex Freeman of Rockwell.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. David Key officiating. Burial will follow at Cool Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1467 Cool Springs Church Road, Elkin, NC 28621.
