Roy Dale Baldwin, Sr.

Mr. Roy Dale Baldwin, Sr., age 69, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Mr. Baldwin was born July 27, 1946 in Surry County to William Eugene and Hessie Lee Luffman Baldwin.
Mr. Baldwin was an active member of Mining Ridge Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and was a Sunday school teacher. Roy was also an avid hunter.
Survivors include: his wife Tammy Baldwin of the home; sons, Roy Dale Baldwin, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Elkin and Gary Ray Baldwin and special friend, Carrie McGee of Elkin; daughter, Rita Ann Call and husband Floyd of Roaring River; sisters, Nancy Riggsbee of Traphill and Wilda Jean Holbrook and husband Norris of Elkin; grandchildren, Bradley Baldwin and wife Amanda, Justin Baldwin, Chris Martinez and wife Dana, Rachel Martinez, Kimberly Vannoy and husband Justin and Brandon Combs and wife Whitney; five great-grandchildren and best friend, George Edwards of State Road.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Mining Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Jenkins, Preacher Keith Wood, Preacher Danny Dillard and Preacher Willie Pardue officiating. Burial will follow at Shoaly Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Mining Ridge Baptist Church.
