Bethany Carol Byrd

Miss Bethany Carol Byrd, age 24, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. She was born February 11, 1992 in Surry County to Ezra M. Byrd, Jr. and Carla Calloway Byrd.  Bethany was preceded in death by a grandfather, Douglas Eugene Calloway and Uncle, Christopher Bruce Calloway. Survivors include: son, Caiden Gonzalez; father, Ezra M. Byrd, Jr (Anna) of Ronda; mother, Carla C. Byrd   (Jason) of N. Wilkesboro; brothers, Tony Byrd (Mary) of Elkin, Shawn Byrd (Krystal) of Elkin, Cory Byrd of Ronda, Charlie Byrd of Ronda, Christopher Anderson-Byrd of N. Wilkesboro, and Drake Lanier of N. Wilkesboro; sisters, Tiffany Church (Jonathan) of N. Wilkesboro, Kasey Byrd of N. Wilkesboro, Emilee Byrd (Judd) of N. Wilkesboro, Shayda Lanier of N. Wilkesboro; twin sister, Brittany Byrd (Chito) of Elkin; grandparents, Ezra M. Byrd, Sr. and Pansy Byrd of Ronda; special grandmother, Mary Hooper (David) of Seven Devils; step grandmother, Margie Calloway of King; several aunts and uncles; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Jonathan Church officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.The family requests that memorials be made to Mayberry 4 Paws, 210 Country Club Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030 .
