Tony Gray Snow

Mr. Tony Gray Snow, age 76, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Snow was born November 9, 1939 in Wilkes County to George Raymond and Ruby Helen White Snow.

Mr. Snow retired from Farmer’s Home Administration as the county supervisor. He actively served his community, being a member of the Yadkin County Chamber of Commerce, a past member of the Sertoma Club, and a supporting member of the Yadkin Arts Council.

Tony had a passion for farming and his love of the land was only exceeded by the love he had for his family. He enjoyed 54 years of marriage with his wife Bonnie.

Mr. Snow was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: his wife, Bonnie Shore Snow of the home, daughters, Karen S. Hodge and husband Wendell of Oak Ridge, N.C., Shelia S. Woods and husband Mike of Julian N.C.,  brother, Retired Colonel Jack K. Snow and wife Polly of Summerfield N.C., grandchildren, Brooke Hodge, Megan Key, and Amy Key.

Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in State Road Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to State Road Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2929 S. Center Church Rd., Thurmond N.C. 28683.
