Ira "Sam" Lloyd

Mr. Ira Samuel “Sam: Lloyd, age 74, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Lloyd was born January 26, 1942 in Surry County to Frank and Ruby Shores Lloyd.
Mr. Lloyd was a member of Charity Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Nixon Lloyd; brother, Willie Lloyd and sisters, Faye Barker and Alma Todd.
Survivors include: his son, Samuel Tracy Lloyd of State Road; daughter, Tonya Lloyd Triplett and husband Bobby of Austin; brothers, Rev. Claude Lloyd and wife Joyce of State Road and Foy Lloyd of State Road; sisters, Janie Dimette of Poplar Springs, Jean Lloyd of State Road, Alva Dixon of State Road and Pansy Layall of Thurmond.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Charity Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Claude Lloyd, Rev. Keith Wood, Rev. Terry Longworth and Rev. Travis Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
