Virginia Burger Hodges

Mrs. Virginia Doris Burger Hodges, age 65, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her residence. Virginia was born January 28, 1951 in Canton, Georgia to Guy Lynn and Louise Haynes Burger. She was employed with the Candle Corporation and was a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Martin and Jackie Burger and one brother, Daniel Burger.

Survivors include: sons, Grady Hodges and Billy Hodges both of Dobson; one daughter, Cindy Hodges of Mt Airy; three brothers, David Burger, Tony Burger and Russell Burger; four sisters, Audrie Graves, Alice Goodwin, Donna Weaver and Neva King; and six grandchildren, Micaela Hodges, Dakota Hodges, Caleb Hodges, Kendall Hodges and Dillon Odum.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Rocky Ford Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 pm at Elkin Funeral Service.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Rocky Ford Baptist Church.
