Marie Park Combs

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Keith Combs; brothers, Bobby Park and Roger Park; and sisters, infant Mary Nell Park, Sadie Park Martin and Ruby Faye Couch.

Survivors include: her husband of 68 years, Lee Roy “Bud” Combs of the home; son, Jeff Combs and his wife Joyce of Elkin; daughter, Elaine C. Coe and her husband Ralph of Dobson; daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Combs of Elkin; sister, Louise P. Coram of Raleigh; grandchildren, Andrea Poindexter (Rob), Karla Combs and Jon Combs (Danna Edington); step grandchildren, Nathan Hanks and Jacob Hanks (Stephanie) and great grandchildren, Aaron Poindexter, Anna Poindexter, Ben Poindexter, Samantha Combs and Fletcher Combs.

Mrs. Combs will lie in state at Friendship Baptist Church Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. The Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Fugate and Rev. Jonah Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial in the church fellowship hall.

The family requests memorials be made to Friendship Baptist Church, Mountain Valley Hospice or Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.
