Jean Anderson

Mrs. Martha “Jean” Anderson, age 78, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Anderson was born October 1, 1937 in Davidson County to Ralph and Martha Friddle Beam.
Mrs. Anderson was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Anderson, Sr.; sons, Larry James Anderson and Jerry Wayne Anderson; grandson, R.J. Wilcox.
Survivors include: her sons, Gary Mitchell Anderson and wife Janet of Elkin and James Thomas Anderson, Jr. and wife Nancy of Mt. Airy; daughter, Phyllis Wilcox and husband Roby of Elkin; grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson, Jamie Anderson, Melissa Wilcox, Mitch Anderson and Matthew Anderson; great-grandchildren, Branton Wilcox, Sydney Wilcox and Isaiah Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Richard Hackler officiating. Burial will follow at Benham Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
The family would like to thank the staff of Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, HCMH third floor staff Renee, Alicia and Ashley, Dr. Subbiah, Dr. Carol Albright, Dr. Sheri Komdeur and the staff of the Comprehensive Cancer Center for their love and care.
