Retha Kay Prevette

Mrs. Retha Kay Prevette, age 73, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Prevette was born March 2, 1942 in Wilkes County to Glennie Harm and Inez Ether Bauguess Crabb.
Mrs. Prevette was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and retired from Wal-Mart in Elkin.
Survivors include: her sons, Danny Prevette and wife Linda of Thurmond, Barry Prevette and wife Annette of Roaring River and Randy Prevette and wife Tammy of Thurmond; brothers, Jim Crabb and wife Peggy of Roaring River, Larry Crabb and wife Martha of Roaring River and Kenny Crabb of Rock Creek; sisters, Josephie Combs and husband Everett of Roaring River, Lillie Wood of Rock Creek, Sue Cook of High Point and Loretta Trolley of Winston Salem; grandchildren, Daniel Jarvis, Dana Prevette and Brandon, Nicole Nance and Tony, Craig Vestal and Amanda, Tiffany Prevette and Tyler, Nichole Prevette and Scotty, Kayla Prevette Westra and Coad and Dillon Prevette and DeAnna; great-grandchildren, Sara Nance, Dakota Vestal, Jordan Vestal, Isiah Vestal, Solomon Vestal, Abigail Vestal, Gibson Moore, Vann Moore, Bryce Clonch and Inezleigh Westra.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Wood, Rev. Matty Ponce-de-leon, Rev. Kenny Wood and Rev. David Key officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
