Thomas Harold Humiston

Mr. Thomas Harold Humiston, age 54, formely of Watertown, CT passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016. Mr. Humiston was born February 20, 1961 in Waterbury, CT to Richard and Mary Thompson Humiston.
Mr. Humiston was a member of Elkin Presbyterian Church. He was the owner and groomer of Man’s Best Friend and a member of National Dog Groomers Association. He was also a member of Mad Dog Racing Team at Friendship Speedway.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, James Warren Humiston.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Ellyn Palmer Humiston of Elkin; mother, Mary Thompson Humiston of Dania Beach, FL; brothers, Ralph Humiston of Dania Beach, FL and Craig Humiston and wife Patricia of Morris, CT; mother and father-in-law, Wallace and Carolyn Palmer of Watertown, CT; brothers-in-law, David Palmer and wife Sue of Oakville, CT and Kevin Palmer and wife Tania of Oakville, CT; sisters-in-law, Susan Fuller and husband Robert of Southbury, CT and Cheryl Humiston of Southington, CT; special nieces and nephews; special great-nieces and great-nephews; canine companions, M&M and Tulip.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Elkin Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
