Woodrow Oliver Crouse

January 26, 1917 — December 25, 2015

Mr. Woodrow Oliver Crouse, 98, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015.  Mr. Crouse was born January 26, 1917 in Alleghany County to George and Pearl Andrews Crouse.

Mr. Crouse retired from Wayne Farms and was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.  Mr. Crouse was also a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Billie Crouse, two sisters, Ruby Edwards, Mable Hash, three brothers, Talmadge Crouse, Raymond Crouse and Cecil Crouse.

Survivors include, a grandson, Douglas Brown of Gastonia, a brother, Mahlon Crouse of Kernersville, a sister, Imogene Chappell of Elkin, several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 2:30pm at Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mickey Brooks officiating.  Full military honors will be provided by Yadkin VFW Post 10346.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-2 pm at Elkin Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1269 Union Hill Road, Thurmond, NC  28683.
