Mr. Jerry Robinson, age 69, left his earthly home and entered the kingdom of heaven on Thursday, October 22, 2015. We praise God that after many years of suffering, he now has a new body through Christ. We know that he can now breath easily, is in no pain and can walk as he did years ago. He is at peace. Mr. Robinson was born September 8, 1946 in Surry County to Patrick F., Jr. and Marie Simmons Robinson. Survivors include: his wife, Louise F. Robinson of the home; mother, Marie S. Robinson of Yadkinville; son, Harry Goble and wife Christine of Raleigh; daughter, Mary Anna Alexander and husband Justin of Fuquay-Varina; brother, Butch Robinson and wife Linda of Ashville; grandchildren, Bryce Goble and Alexa Goble; nephews, Thomas Brown and wife Meredith of Holly Springs, Steven Brown and wife Koketta of Jonesville, Lance Robinson and wife Teresa of Ashville and Nyle Robinson and wife Jenny of Ashville. A funeral service will be held Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Dr. Joan Vella officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. The family would like to thank the staff of Forsyth Medical Center for their care.
