Mrs. Mary Lane Luffman, age 53, passed away Thursday, October 01, 2015 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Luffman was born November 2, 1961 in Fries, Virginia to Massie and Dorothy Bobbitt Lane. Mrs. Luffman worked for the Candle Corporation for 20 years. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her sister, Eva Lane Easter. Survivors include: her husband, Junior Ray Luffman of the home; mother, Dorothy Byrd of Galax, Virginia; son, Ricky Brandon Davis and wife Regina of Elkin; brothers, James Ray Lane and wife Rebecca of Rural Retreat, VA, Ronald Lane and wife Judy of Barber, NC and Richard Allen Lane of Stuart, VA; sisters, Eva Ann Chappell and husband Bruce of Sparta; half-sisters, Kathy Bare and husband Robert of Sparta and Sherry Perry and husband Gerald of Ivanboe, VA; grandchildren, Christopher, Bella and Emmett. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mitch Smith officiating. The family requests memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 North Bridge Street, Elkin NC 28621. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tim Hodges and Staff of Elkin Funeral Service, Mountain Valley Hospice and especially Novant Health of Wilkesboro, Dr. Grote, Salley, Teresa, Kim, Lisa and Nan.
