Mr. Michael Greg Cox, age 54, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Mr. Cox was born September 23, 1961 in Surry County to Ira and Alda Adkins Cox. Mr. Cox was employed by Phillips Van Heusen and was a member of Roaring Gap Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Chris Cox. Survivors include: his wife, Tammy Cox of the home; sons, Cory Cox and wife Lila of Roaring River, Ryan Cox and wife Deanna of Wilkesboro; daughter, Laken Cox of Ronda; sister, Sandra Bell and husband Wesley of Traphill; grandchildren, Mason, Malakai, Emma, Kinsley and Jace; nieces, Sloane Mitchem and husband Westley and Ashley Cox; great nieces and nephew, Bristol, Presley and Kayden. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Roaring Gap Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Hackler, Rev. Ronnie McMillian and Rev. Jeff Collins officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
