Mrs. Peggy Sue Parks Willey, age 63, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Willey was born August 27, 1951 in Wilkes County to Amy and Connie Hinson Parks. Mrs. Willey was a member of Center Baptist Church and retired from Chatham Manufacturing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Willey and brothers, Robert Parks and Gene Parks. Survivors include: her sons, Richard Willey and wife Andrea of Elkin and Daniel Willey and wife Faith of Greenville, SC; daughters, Kelly Martin and husband Kevin of Elkin and Lisa Bowman of Elkin brother, Dewitt Hall and wife June of State Road; sister, Virginia Pardue and husband Lonnie of Thurmond; grandchildren, Kasey Martin, Kaden Martin, Dakota Bowman and Kayla Bowman; special great niece, Alexis Pardue. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Center Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Gilreath officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 North Bridge Street, Elkin, NC 28621. The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and special niece, Robin Pardue for their care.
