Mr. Roy Franklin "Frank" Mahan, age 74, passed away July 22, 2015 at Pruitt Health Care of Elkin. Mr. Mahan was born December 18, 1940 in Finity, West Virginia to Homer and Zala Adkins Mahan. Mr. Mahan was a member of Way of Life Full Gospel Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Mahan, Homer L. Mahan and Doug Mahan; sisters, Linda Oxendine and Jean Vandall; daughter-in-law, Christy Mahan. Survivors include: his wife, Linda Nelson Mahan of the home; sons, Timmy Mahan of Hamptonville, Glenn Mahan of Sophia, West Virginia and Scott Mahan and wife Kasie of Greensboro; daughters, Sabrina Johnson and husband Steven of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Debbie Terry and husband Patrick of Traphill and Stephanie Mahan of Jonesville; brothers, Jarrell Mahan and wife Delma of Glade Valley, James Mahan and wife Shirley of Hamptonville, Gary Mahan and wife Patricia of State Road, Roger Mahan and wife Linda of Wilkesboro, Michael Mahan of Mountain Park, Larry Mahan of Texas and Norman Mahan and wife JoAnn of Lexington; sister, Debbie Freeman and husband Steve of Thomasville; grandchildren, Steven Johnson, Shane Johnson, Zoey Mahan, Samantha Crabb, Jacob Crabb, Savannah Terry, Brett Mahan, Brittany Smith and T.J. Mahan; great-grandchild, Kylen Martin; special friend, Shannon Tatum; special niece, Zala Mahan; special great-niece, Hannah Parsons and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Way of Life Full Gospel Church with Pastor James Mahan, Rev. Aubrey Casstevens and Rev. Dennis Dobbins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
