Earline Carter Brown

Mrs. Earline Carter Brown, age 78 of Sterling, VA., passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Mrs. Brown was born May 12, 1937 in Wilkes County to Reece Connie Carter and Ethel Brooks Carter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Thompson Carter; brother, Ward; and sisters, Lilly, Maxine, Wanda, and Violet. Survivors include: sons, Benjamin Carter Brown of Sterling, Va., and Brendan Drew Brown and his wife Elena of Bristow, Va.; sisters, Zessa Herman of North Ridge, CA. and Hazel Gabrielian of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Andrew Michael Brown, Evelyn Carrington Brown, Bailey Reece Brown, and Lane Carter Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Shoaly Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3701 Pender Drive, Suite 400, Fairfax, VA. 22030 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
