Ann Park Hampton age 70, passed away, Friday June 12, 2015. She was born February 26, 1945 in Surry County to John and Vivian Cass Park. Mrs. Hampton was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for 20 plus years, and led Church Training Union for several years. She was also retired from the Brendles Corporation. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne Hampton. Survivors include: 2 daughters, Lynn Hampton Clayton and husband David of Elkin and Tammy Hampton Gragg and husband Mitchell of Boone; Brothers Paul Park and wife Bonnie of Dobson, and Benny Park and wife Jewell of Elkin; Sisters Viola Atkins of Tennessee, and Doris Luffman and husband Kelly of St. Road; 2 grandchildren, Jake and Kasey Gragg. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist church with Rev. Jerry Fugate officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening June 14, 2015 from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. at Elkin Funeral Service.
