Helen Elizabeth Brown

November 2, 1925 — June 10, 2015

Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Bostic Brown, age 89, passed away June 10, 2015 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Brown was born November 2, 1925 in Surry County to William Ledbetter and Ida Mae Woodruff Bostic. Mrs. Brown loved to travel and visited all 50 states after retiring from Sunbeam Manufacturing of Elkin. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Delmas Blevins. Survivors include: her husband, Garvey Brown of the home and sister, Ola Bostic Blevins of Elkin. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, June 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Fugate officiating. The family requests memorials be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 633 Friendship Church Rd. Elkin, NC 28621 or to the donor's choice.
