Pheobe Alice Draughn

Mrs. Pheobe Alice Draughn, 89, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015. Mrs. Draughn was born February 10 1926 in Wilkes County to Cliff and Viette Shepherd Sparks. Mrs. Draughn was a member of Oak Level Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Sparks and Willard Sparks, her sisters, Grace Byrd, Opal Chipman, Vera Byrd and Ina Sparks. Survivors include, her husband, William Roger Draughn of the home, three daughters, Linda Oliver and her husband Harvey, Carol Carter and husband Barry all of Hamptonville, Debbie Haynes of Roaring River, a brother, Ralph Sparks and wife Greta of Traphill, three grandchildren, Chad Carter, Ryan Oliver, Kim Trivette, two great grandchildren, Trevor Trivette, Evelyn Trivette. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 at 2pm at Oak Level Baptist Church with Rev. Mattie Ponce-de-Leon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service at the church.
