Mrs. Jean Martin Vestal Bauguess, age 94, passed away, Monday, May 25, 2015. Mrs. Bauguess was born August 14, 1920 in Yadkin County to Daniel Alexander and Daisy Eola Martin Vestal. Mrs. Bauguess was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church and retired from Chatham Manufacturing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Bauguess; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill and Thelma Vestal and Calvin Vestal; sister and brother-in-law, Polly and Bill Brown; sister-in-law, Billie Vestal. Survivors include: her son, Allen Ray Bauguess and wife Kathy of Los Arenas, New Mexico; daughter, Linda McComb and husband John of Jonesville; brothers, Bob Vestal of Kernersville and Sam Vestal and wife Lola of Stokesdale; grandchildren, Daniel Bauguess, Nancy Pursley and husband Dan, Adam McComb and wife Ruth Ann and Jennifer Rae Suttle and husband Andy; great-grandchildren, Cassidy Pursley, McKenzie Pursley, Leigh Pursley, Matthew Bauguess, Sara Bauguess, Hannah Bauguess, Joshua Bauguess, Thomas McComb, Luke McComb, Abram Suttle, Ranon Suttle, Asher Suttle and Arden Suttle; sister-in-law, Pansy Vestal of Jonesville; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Fall Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Don Hudson and Rev. Pam Anthony officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the committal service. The family requests memorials be made to Jonesville Public Library, 150 E. Main Street, Jonesville, NC 28642 or Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 North Bridge Street, Elkin, NC 28621.
