Mrs. Susie "Sue" Combs Bauguess, age 80 of Ronda, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. She was born April 3, 1935 in Wilkes County to James Eli and Fannie Lou Soots Combs. Mrs. Bauguess was retired from Chatham Manufacturing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Louis Combs, Marshall Combs and Floyd Combs. Survivors include: her husband, Leon Bauguess of the home; daughter, Martha Waller and her husband Larry of Thurmond; brother, Brison Combs and his wife Florence of Ronda; and sister, Jo Couch and her husband Robert of Elkin. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Bobby Norman and Rev. Doug Combs officiating. Burial will follow in Bauguess Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
