Michael Brian Guynn

Michael Brian Guynn, 57, passed away Friday May 15, 2015. Mr. Guynn was born December 17, 1957 in Carroll county, Virginia to Conley and Dorothy Keith Guynn. Michael was the maintenance manager for Phillips-Van Heusen. Michael was a man of integrity. He was a dedicated father, husband and grandpa. He was respected by everyone who knew him. Micheal was a true sports guy and his love for Harley Davidson, Nascar and virtually all sports was second only to his love of family. Michael was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include; his wife Debbie D. Guynn of the home, a son, Benjamin Dorton of Wilmington, five daughters, Savannah Holbrook of Elkin, Sarah Holbrook of Myrtle Beach, Jennifer Dorton of Elkin, Lindsey Utt of Galax, Virginia, and Megan Jennings of Hillsville, Virginia, three grandchildren Wesley Holbrook, Brody Holbrook, Anne Kathryn Culler. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Michael Guynn memorial fund, C/O Wells Fargo bank, to provide education benefits for his grandchildren, Wesley and Brody Holbrook.
