Mrs. Beatrice Cleary Joines, age 93 of Traphill, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Joines was born June 17, 1921 in Wilkes County to Jonah and Bessie Holbrook Cleary. She was homemaker, loving mother and grandmother and an avid gardener. Mrs. Joines was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Hays. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; William Lynn Joines, Sr.; infant daughter, Shirley; son-in-law, Donnie Wiles; 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors include: daughters, Barbara J. Wiles of Traphill, Linda J. Butcher and husband Joe of Traphill, Marie J. Johnson and husband Gary of Ronda, and Brenda J. Gregory and husband Alvin of Ronda; son, William Lynn "Bill" Joines, Jr. and wife Julie of Traphill; sister, Irene Cleary Wiles of Traphill, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Teague, Rev. Walter Hutchinson and Rev. Travis Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. The family would like to thank the staff of Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home as well as the many friends and neighbors for their loving care.
