Mrs. Irene Lewis Durham, age 83, passed away, Thursday, May 7, 2015. Mrs. Durham was born November 8, 1931 in Yadkin County to Tom E. and Zetta Shore Lewis. Mrs. Durham was a member of Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired from Auto Parts Supply. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, James Lewis. Survivors include: her husband of 64 years John M. Durham of the home; son, Dennis Durham and wife Teresa of Sparta; daughter, Lisa Mishoe and husband Rev. Eddie Mishoe of Asheboro; grandchildren, Ryan Mishoe of Whispering Pines, Andrea Willard of Axton, VA, Amy Davenport of Costa Rica, Joseph Durham of Georgia, Astrid Aguilar of California;and six great-granchildren Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Trent Wall and Rev. Eddie Mishoe officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Church. The family requests memorials be made to Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church, 258 W. Main Street, Jonesville, NC 28642 or Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 North Bridge Street, Elkin, NC 28621. The family would like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice and Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church for their care.
