Mrs. Juanita Warren Gentry, age 87, formerly of Lomax, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. Mrs. Gentry was born October 8, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to Walter and Alice Lipps Warren. She was a homemaker, a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church, a past member of the Grange, and a hospice volunteer with Mountain Valley Hospice. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Gentry. Survivors include: her sons, Jimmy Gentry and his wife Anita of Statesville and Bobby Gentry of Roaring River; daughter, Tammy Bright and her husband Scott of Huntersville; brothers, Ray Warren and his wife Sara of Farmington, Michigan and Mack Warren of Yadkinville; grandchildren, Jeannie Gentry, Terri Wilson, Julie Devoe, Kelly Gentry McLear, Eli Bright, Micalah Bright, and Hannah Bright; great grandchildren, Gentry Wilson and Wiley Wilson. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. John Harrill officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials be made to Levine and Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.
