Hattie Branon Harris

November 22, 1923 — March 27, 2015

Mrs. Hattie Branon Harris, age 91 of Elkin, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Harris was born November 22, 1923 in Davie County to Pearl and Miles Henderson Branon. She was a homemaker and a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Kenneth Harris and daughter, Katheryn H. Cleary. Survivors include: sons, Kenneth C. Harris of State Road and Gregory Henderson Harris of Pilot Mountain; daughter, Esther H. Stoker and husband Alan of Elkin; grandchildren, Angela Rose, Amanda Harris, Shaina Harris, Joshua Harris, Kelsey Harris, Trevor Stoker, Kristi Stoker, David Cleary, and Reconda Guyer; and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Cool Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Stoker and Dr. Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family would like to thank the staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital for their care.
