Mrs. Hallie Mae Money Luffman, age 96, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at Chatham Nursing Center. Mrs. Luffman was born August 17, 1918 in Wilkes County to William and Lou Ada Laster Money. Mrs. Luffman was a member of Little Elkin Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Noah W. Luffman; brothers, Harvey Money, Howard Money, Willie Money, Jr., Arlen Money and Parks Money; sisters, Pansy Finney, Alcie Hammer and Bretta Luffman; daughter-in-law, Peggy Luffman and granddaughter-in-law, Michelle Anderson. Survivors include: her son, Vernon Luffman of Elkin; daughters, Sylvia Pardue and husband Alton of Ronda and Brenda Williams and husband David of Elkin; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and special friend, Wanda Drum of Jonesville. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Little Elkin Baptist Church with Rev. Gwyn Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Little Elkin Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. The family requests memorials be made to Gideons International, 50 Century Blvd. Nashville, TN, 37214 or Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 N. Bridge Street, Elkin, NC 28621. The family would like to thank the staff of Chatham Nursing Center and the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for their care.
