Mrs. Margie Church Stimpson, age 70, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015. Mrs. Stimpson was born August 25, 1944 in Wilkes County to William Turner and Lottie Jane Honeycutt Church. Mrs. Stimpson was a member of Little Elkin Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy R. Stimpson; son, William Todd Stimpson; brother, Bill Church. Survivors include: her daughter, Melissa Stimpson Coe and husband Robbie or State Road; brothers, Bob Church of Wilkesboro, Davie of FL and Johnny of FL; sister, Sandy of FL; k-9 companion, Pooh; grandchildren, Lakan, Cass, Beth, Jordan, Amber, Josh, Philip and Halee. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Elkin Baptist Church with Rev. Gwyn Anderson officiating. The family requests memorials be made to Masonic Oxford Orphanage, 600 College St. Oxford, NC 27565. The family would like to thank all the family and friends who have helped in many ways over the past several months.
