Mrs. Deborah Louise Pruitt, age 50, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015. Mrs. Pruitt was born December 17, 1964 in Iredell County to Clyde Gary and Frances Louise Mahaffey Parks. Mrs. Pruitt was employed by Park Food Center and was a loving wife and mother and was known for her outgoing personality. She was preceded in death by her brother, Craig Parks. Survivors include: her parents, Clyde Gary Parks and Frances Louise Parks of Hamptonville; husband, David L. Pruitt of the home; sons, Matthew Pruitt and Jonathan Pruitt (Nicole Sheets); special cousin, Tammy James of Statesville. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, February 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Brett Graham and Rev. Kenny Pardue officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family request that memorials be made to Roaring Gap Baptist Church, 267 E. Roaring Gap Church Road, Thurmond, NC 28683. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Iredell Memorial Hospital, 4th floor, Pruitt Hospice Staff and many family and friends for their care.
