Daniel Clinton Shores

March 12, 1933 — February 8, 2015

Daniel Clinton Shores, age 81, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015. Mr. Shores was born March 12, 1933 in Elkin, NC to Early and Collie Harris Shores. Mr. Shores was a retired farmer and was a member of Charity Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn I. Shores, a daughter, Mary Ellen Shores, three brothers, John Shores, Clifton Shores and James Shores. Survivors include, three sons, Randy Shores and wife Teresa, Michael Shores and wife Mary Etta, Tommy Shores, three daughters, Sue Robins and husband John, Linda Shores, Julia Patterson and husband Terry, a brother, Arthur Shores and wife Lucille, sisters, Magaline Cox and husband Richard and Levon Hauser, three sisters-in-law, Odessa Shores, Carol Swaim and Maudaline Shores, Fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Charity Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Cardwell, Rev. Claude Lloyd, Rev. Mickey Brooks and Rev. Terry Longworth officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Rd. Statesville, NC 28625.
