Elson Lindberg Bauguess

October 27, 1927 — February 7, 2015

Mr. Elson Lindberg Bauguess, age 87, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015. Mr. Bauguess was born October 27, 1927 in Wilkes County to William Click and Nancy Ethel Warren Bauguess. Mr. Bauguess retired from Western Electric and was a member of Stoney Ridge Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Justice, Leon and Holland Bauguess, a sister, Mary Ruth Combs. Survivors include, his wife, Hilda Gaye Bauguess of the home, two step-sons, Ricky Nolen of Traphill, Randy Nolen of Myrtle Beach, three daughters, Diane Bauguess and Susan Chandler both of Winston Salem, Lisa Happe and husband Joe of Atlanta, Ga. A brother, Gayle Bauguess and wife Dot of Traphill, a sister, Iverene Billings of Winston Salem, two grandchildren, Jennifer Jarrell and Joseph Happe, two great grandchildren, Elson Levi Garrell, Ema Jo Happe, step grandchildren, Eric, Joshua and Christopher Nolan. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 9, 2015 at 2pm at Stoney Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to Triad Food Ministries of Wilkes County c/o Samaritan Kitchen of Wilkes, Inc. P.O. Box 1072 Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
