Glenda Holcomb

March 6, 1927 — January 14, 2015

Mrs. Glenda Mae Holcomb, age 87, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Yadkin Valley Community Hospital. Mrs. Holcomb was born March 6, 1927 in Surry County to Tommy M. and Della Colbert Luffman. Mrs. Holcomb was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church of Jonesville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Burr Holcomb; sons, Ervin Lester Holcomb and Jerry Wayne Holcomb. Survivors include: her son, Norlan Holcomb of Jonesville; grandchildren, Eric Holcomb, Toby Holcomb, Renee Holcomb, Rhiannon Holcomb and Michael Holcomb; great-grandchildren, Jason Holcomb, Brooke Holcomb, Christopher Holcomb, Ethan Holcomb and Liam Ireland-Holcomb. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Luffman and Rev. Richie Harris officiating.
