Mr. R.J. Billings, Jr., age 43, passed away, Monday, January 05, 2015. Mr. Billings was born June 9, 1971 in Wilkes County to R.J. Billings, Sr. and Debra Church Royal. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lee Billings. Survivors include: his mother, Debra C. Royal of Thurmond; step-father, Allen Royal of Thurmond; son, Matthew Combs of Elkin; daughter, Danniell Billings of West Virginia; brother, Arnold Billings and wife Jana of Sparta; sisters, Frances Minton and husband Eddie of Traphill and Patricia Billings and husband Ricky of Traphill. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at White Rock Cemetery with Rev. Melinda Penry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at Elkin Funeral Service.
