Mr. Brian Keith Tharpe, age 48, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015. Mr. Tharpe was born October 26, 1966 in Greensboro, NC. He was a member of Abstract Church and employed with Wal-Mart. Mr. Tharpe was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Robert Tharpe and an uncle, Ralph Tharpe. Survivors include his wife, Debra Pittman Tharpe of Jonesville, daughters, Jessica Hawkins of Hays, Ashley Jacobs and her husband David of Tennessee, and Hali Bowman of Florida; step son, Lee Van Allen of Yadkinville; sister, Beth Noah and her husband Jeff of Dobson; half brother, Dolan Queen of N. Wilkesboro; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Alan Parsons and Rev. Danny Royall officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
