Mrs. Eliza Victoria Lyon, age 74, passed away Saturday, December27, 2014 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Lyon was born July 31, 1940 in Wilkes County to Claude and Ina Jolly Luffman. Mrs. Lyon was a member of Charity United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Alverta Luffman and sister-in-law, Ann Luffman. Survivors include: her husband Herman Lyon of the home; son, Chris Herman Lyon and wife Linda of Traphill; daughter, Jolene Lyon Johnson and husband Johnny of Traphill; brothers, Claude Kenneth Luffman of Elkin and Benny Luffman and wife Kay of Elkin; grandchildren, Melanie Johnson-Wagoner and husband Jack and Adam J. Johnson; great-grandchildren, Mason J. Wagoner, Grant Wagoner and Max Wagoner. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Charity United Methodist Church with Rev. Elmer Barker and Elder John Lyon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 North Bridge St. Elkin, NC 28621.
