Mr. Daniel "Dan" Robert Cline, age 69, passed away, Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Mr. Cline was born October 17, 1945 in Kearney, NE. Mr. Cline retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service. He was also retired from Wal-Mart after 15 years of service. Survivors include: his wife, Lois B. Cline of the home; daughter, Cathryn E. Cline of Jonesville; granddaughter, Victoria Cline. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Roaring River Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. The family requests memorials be made to the family, 767 Country Club Drive, State Road, NC 28676. The family would like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice, staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, staff of Comprehensive Cancer Center, fishing buddy Mike Church and family friend, Deborah Norman for their care.
