Mr. Thomas "Tom" Paul Adams, age 61, passed away, Thursday, October 16, 2014. Mr. Adams was born May 31, 1953 in Surry County to Jessie and Dorothy Barker Adams. Mr. Adams was a retired Sargent from the Elkin Police Department. He was a member of Little Elkin Baptist Church and Elkin Masonic Lodge # 454. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Jean Adams. Survivors include: his wife, Debbie Adams of the home; son, Shane Adams and wife Amanda of Jonesville; daughter, Wendy Adams of N. Wilkesboro; brothers, Roger Adams and wife Bobbie of West Jefferson and Johnny Adams and wife Sandra of Ronda; sister, Betty Couch and husband Lanny of Elkin; grandchildren, Josie Adams and Daisy Adams. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Little Elkin Baptist Church with Rev. Gwyn Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Little Elkin Baptist Church, 1161 Little Elkin Church Road, Ronda, NC 28670.
