Mrs. Anna Lee Myers Cockerham, age 94, passed away, Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Cockerham was born March 16, 1920 in Yadkin County to Lydle Worth and Etta Swaim Myers. Mrs. Cockerham was of the Christian Faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Denver Cockerham and brother, Troy Myers. Survivors include: son, John F. Cockerham and wife Katherine of Catawba; daughters, Linda Cockerham Anderson of Elkin and Kathy Cockerham Brown and husband Jerry of Jonesville; sister, Olav Allred of Hamptonville; grandchildren, Heather C. Sheets and husband Scott, Travis Cockerham and wife Jill, Chris Anderson and wife Diane, Amy Gambill and husband Tommy, Kevin Brown and wife Sherrie, Kimberly Hanlin and husband DeWayne; great-grandchildren, Chase Parsons, Ady Cockerham, Colt Winkler and Audra Chrisawn, Robert Lopez, Jennifer Hurt and husband Andrew, Dalton Gambill, Kristie Brown, Matthew Brown, Kali Hanlin, Naomi Sheets, Blake Sheets and Olavia Sheets; six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Tom Nussbaum and Rev. Kelvin Naef officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
