Mrs. Norma Darlene Bryant Pruitt, age 52, passed away, Sunday, September 28, 2014. Mrs. Pruitt was born January 8, 1962 in Surry County to Carol Benton Bryant. Mrs. Pruitt was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and attended Grace Full Gospel Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Alex Bryant. Survivors include: her husband, Dale Pruitt of the home; mother, Carol Bryant of Elkin; daughter, Shanda Pruitt Arnder and husband Christopher of Wilkesboro; brothers, Eric Bryant of Jonesville and Michael Bryant of Jonesville; sister, Chrissie Norman of Elkin; sisters-in-law, Shannon Caudill of Elkin and Pam Smith of Roaring River; father-in-law, Odell Pruitt of Elkin. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Grace Full Gospel Church with Rev. Bobby Prevette and Rev. Mark Elmore officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. The family will accept flowers.
