Jonesville Mrs. Viola B. Clark, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from Pruitt Health Care. Mrs. Clark was born March 29, 1924 in Yadkin County to Mack and Polly Wood Brown. Mrs. Clark retired from the textile industry and was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Grey Clark; two brothers Ralph Brown and Raymond Brown; three Sisters, Pauline Cockerham, Mary Stonestreet and Carrie Pate. Survivors include: a daughter, Elizabeth C. Baker and husband Michael of Burlington; Grandchildren, Curry M. Baker and Grey Baker; Nieces, Linda Myers and husband Tommy of State Road, Billie Jester and husband Ron of Jonesville, Judy Swaim of Jonesville, a nephew, Benny Cockerham and wife Kathy of Jonesville, a great niece, Jennifer Swaim of Jonesville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Wesley Smith, Bro. Larry Collins and Rev. Charlie Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Charity Baptist Church Cemetery in Booneville. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. Serving as pallbearers are: Tommy Myers, Ron Jester, Tim Cook, Jody Swaim, Damon Groce and Tyler Jester.
